AI Pest Management

AI Pest Management and Live Compliance Reporting

Your own account in the Insectram client portal — nothing to pay for it

AI pest management means the evidence is documented as the work happens, and Insectram is where Shield documents it — removing the manual recording and the audit preparation entirely. A survey, a review of your records, then a full demonstration of the system.

At a Glance

What is AI pest management?

AI pest management is pest control delivered with continuous digital monitoring and analytics rather than paper records. Readings from QR-coded monitoring points feed a live portal that trends catch data, flags recurring and seasonal risk, tracks corrective actions to close-out and holds the compliance documents an auditor asks for. The technical decisions remain with qualified pest control technicians. At Shield this runs on Insectram, and every commercial client is given their own account and login credentials.

The Problem

Compliance evidence that lives in six places at once

Most sites do not have a pest control problem. They have an evidence problem, and it only surfaces when the auditor arrives.

Reports in an inbox

Service sheets emailed as PDFs, forwarded, renamed and lost. Nobody can say with certainty which was the last visit or what it found.

Trends nobody has read

A year of catch readings sitting in a folder, never analysed, so a rising pattern is discovered by the auditor rather than by you.

Actions raised and forgotten

A proofing recommendation repeated across four visits, closed on none of them, and evidenced on none of them.

The Insectram Portal

What your team sees when they log in

Your whole programme in one place, updated continuously — by the system between visits, and by your technician on every one.

Live pest activity

Every reading tied to a QR-coded monitoring point, a department and a zone, and reported in real time rather than at the next visit.

Visit reports on completion

The report exists before the technician leaves site. No waiting, no chasing, no version confusion.

Recommendations with photographs

Proofing and hygiene actions raised with images, assigned to an owner and tracked through to evidenced close-out.

Trend analysis and heat maps

Catch data trended continuously and cut by date, point, department, area, site or portfolio — whatever window the auditor asks for.

The document folder

Insurance, training certificates, risk assessments, COSHH, RAMS, site plans and treatment records in one structured place.

Auditor access

Read access can be granted for the audit window, so your auditor reads the evidence directly rather than through printed extracts.

Who Uses It

What it changes, by role

QA and technical managers

Trend analysis produced as a by-product of service, and a documented corrective action trail ready for any audit window.

Site and production managers

Visibility of what was found, where, and what needs doing on site — without waiting for a report to be emailed over.

Facilities managers

Multi-site reporting rolled up to portfolio level, with per-site detail underneath, in a single login.

Auditors

Direct read access to the current and historical record, cut to the period and the zones being assessed.

Audit Evidence

What each standard asks for, and where it lives

The same portal answers all six, because the evidence requirements overlap far more than the standards do.

BRCGS (Issue 9)

Documented IPM, trend analysis of catch data, contractor competence records.

SALSA (Issue 7)

Proportionate monitoring records and a demonstrable review cycle.

Red Tractor

Dated service records across storage, packing and farm buildings.

AIB International

Root cause analysis and interpreted trend data, not raw counts.

ISO 22000

Pest control as a documented prerequisite programme inside your FSMS.

FSSC 22000

The same discipline, evidenced to GFSI expectations across the supply chain.

The Difference

Paper and email reporting versus Shield with Insectram

Paper and email

  • Reports arrive days later by email
  • Trend analysis is a manual exercise, if it happens
  • Corrective actions tracked in a spreadsheet
  • Audit evidence assembled the week before
  • One site at a time
  • Nothing visible between visits

Shield with Insectram

  • Report uploaded before the technician leaves site
  • Trends produced continuously and cut on demand
  • Actions assigned, photographed and closed out in-system
  • Evidence current every day of the year
  • Portfolio roll-up across every branch
  • Every user you nominate holds their own account

How the AI is Used

What Shield can and cannot promise

AI supports professional judgement. It does not replace it.

Shield’s programme runs on Insectram. QR-coded monitoring points and trap sensors are two elements of a state-of-the-art set-up delivering site-wide and multi-site integration with real-time data, so activity is seen as it happens rather than at the next visit, and rising activity raises a warning on its own.

No pest control contractor can guarantee an audit pass, and Shield does not claim to. What Shield guarantees is this: Insectram removes the manual recording and the audit preparation entirely, and real-time data gives you sight of activity early enough to deal with it before it becomes a compliance issue.

Analytics read previous visits, detect recurring risk at specific points, and identify seasonal pressure before it becomes an infestation. What they do not do is choose a treatment. Every technical decision — what to proof, what to monitor, whether intervention is justified, which product and dose under CRRU and COSHH — is made by a qualified Shield technician with field biologist oversight, and recorded with their name against it.

Multi-Site

Built for portfolios, not just single sites

One login, every branch

Group structure with per-site records underneath, so a facilities manager stops holding twelve separate relationships and twelve separate folders.

Comparable across sites

The same monitoring standard and the same report shape everywhere, which makes a genuine comparison between sites possible for the first time.

Roll-up reporting

Portfolio-level trend reporting for board and retailer reviews, with the detail one click underneath it.
