Covering Leeds
Shield runs its Leeds work from Selby, half an hour along the M62 to Cross Green, Stourton and Hunslet and a few minutes more into the city centre. Leeds sits on the same technician patch as Wakefield, Castleford and Bradford, so an operator with sites across West Yorkshire is covered by one team.

Local Pest Pressure
Scale changes the problem. A city estate is rarely one building. Hospitals, universities, retail parks and multi-site operators run dozens of premises with shared service routes between them, and pest activity moves along those routes. A programme that treats each building on its own will keep chasing the same population round the estate.

Pests We Treat

Beetles, weevils, psocids and moths in flour, dry goods and ingredient stores across food production and storage sites. Pheromone monitoring finds them first.
Rats and mice at goods-in, in voids and along the external line. Baiting is the last step and never the first, and CRRU rules apply on every site we look after.
Drains and wet areas after wash-down are the usual source. Unit placement, lamp changes and catch-tray counts all form part of the audit record for your site.
Pigeons and gulls on city-centre roofs, canopies, ledges and loading bays. Netting, spikes and wire fitted by Shield, with the fouling cleared and sanitised first.
